Potential Objects and Spaces

Mental and social structures as well as experiencing the culture are my themes. In photography the tension between rational and irrational subjects and ideas or reality and fiction interests me. In still lives and landscapes the scale is obscure. Some images I make seem chosen randomly but the photograph tends to keep its relationships with the reality.

The infinity as an idea and visual element follows through all my pictures. The infinity can be seen in the papers, in an antenna and even in the boxes, which also have the opposite side of infinity- the unifinity.

I have been photographing objects and spaces in which I see some potentiality. Without the individual the potential of an object will not be used and the object or the space is nothing but a mystical target of great wonder. For example a sport field is in the right state first when the needed amount of players are on the field (British well flattened green grass rectangle).

When photographing more objects, instead of order, I started to see the idea of chaos in those. That became a new series of pictures called Fear and Security Ideas. In these images I have been trying to catch the idea of the society, which is filing, sorting and systemizing things to be more secure and organized. In these kinds of actions I see a great paradox because putting up security measures you cause insecurity of something unknown. This series as well as some resent series are about the fear of loosing control.

The same kind visual method follows in my photographs - whiteness and minimalism. The experience, when looking at my photographs, is trying to be analogical with titles of the works. In the series Potential objects and Spaces I have been photographing objects and spaces in which I see some potentiality. Without the individual the potential of an object will not be used and the object or the space is nothing but a mystical target of great wonder. For example a sport field is in the right state first when the needed amount of players are on the field (British well flattened green grass rectangle).
