Becoming me: Posture Replica consists of two portraits, taken sixteen years apart. The first portrait belongs to the series Comme Femme, Speaking as a Woman (1998), which was my final thesis for the Lahti Institute of Design. Comme Femme is reflecting on the institution of marriage and shame caused by divorcing. My self-portrait in the series was symbolic one and the second photo is a reproduction of that portrait, sixteen years later. Becoming me: Posture Replica is an ongoing project that deals with time and growing into one's self through several pain points. The work includes a soundscape.
